It is with a very heavy heart that we must share today,
the sad news of Katie Moulton’s passing. The loss of Katie is not only devastating for her family and the Highlands Historical Society, but for our community as well. Without her passion, dedication and generosity for The Highlands, none of us may have had the opportunity to experience this once very hidden gem.
Katie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend and strong leader in Whitemarsh Township. Her impact in this community will be appreciated for many years to come as preserving history and open space was her mission and she continued to pursue it with thoughtfulness and vigor.
On behalf of the HHS board members and myself, we extend our sincerest condolences to Katie’s incredible husband Hugh and the entire Moulton family.
All of us here know, we would not be in the unique and rewarding positions we find ourselves at The Highlands if it weren't for Katie and her love for this beautiful estate. Her determination and generosity inspires us all to continue doing our very best for The Highlands and our community. Katie was the leader for so many years and now we have the true honor of carrying out all her dreams for this special place.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at The Highlands on September 24th from 4 to 6 pm.
